Review by hotel critic
Upon arriving at the guesthouse, the friendly staff quickly checked us in and showed us around the facilities, including the on-site Herefordshire Aero Club and the Hotspur Café. After settling into our comfortable room with ample lighting and a peaceful courtyard entrance, we decided to explore the nearby dining options. the family restaurant within the Hop Pocket caught our attention, offering a morning coffee, a light farmhouse lunch, and scrumptious homemade cakes and scones. the ambiance was delightful, looking out onto beautiful gardens open to the public. For a more upscale dining experience, we opted to dine at the Rusty Bridge fine dining restaurant. Known for sourcing the finest produce locally, we were eager to sample their menu. the hot and cold buffet breakfast at the guesthouse was tasty, with a full complement of cereals, fruits, and juices. However, the sausage was a bit disappointing, lacking flavor compared to the other well-prepared dishes. Overall, our dining experience at the guesthouse was pleasant, with a range of culinary options to choose from. the attention to detail in the presentation of the food was evident, and the staff were attentive and accommodating. the only downside was the noise from the nearby road, which may have affected our overall enjoyment of the stay. If noise sensitivity is a concern, it may be worth requesting a room at the back of the property.
